Easter 2023
“Peace be with you!”
(Jn 20:19)
Dear Sisters,
Dear members of Pallottine Family and Friends,
The Easter proclamation joyfully resounds – Christ is risen! He is truly risen!
The disciples gathered locked away in the upper room with fear of their own possible death. In the midst of their isolation and darkness, our Lord comes to them with the Easter message, “Peace be with you”. These are the welcoming words which whole humanity greatly desires to witness and proclaim to all those who are oppressed under the burden of pain.
As we celebrate the joyous feast of Resurrection, let us be the disciples of contemporary world to proclaim the hope of peace that is founded on the solid pillars of love and justice, of truth and freedom.
Let us celebrate the glory of the risen Christ. Let us receive the “peace” that the risen Saviour desires to bestow upon us and our communities. Let us embrace our new lives as Easter people, with “Alleluia” as our song.
Christ is risen, our peace and our hope. He is risen. Alleluia!
In the joy of Easter,
Sr. Josephina D’ Souza, SAC
Superior General with the Community
