‘Abide in Me and bear much fruit’
Consecrated life means going to the very root of the love of Jesus Christ with an undivided heart and putting nothing ahead of this love. With this experience of getting rooted in the love of Jesus Christ, six sisters of our Indian Province, namely Sr. Evujin D’Souza, Sr. Matilda Horo, Sr. Josephine Clara, Sr. Rashmi Augustine, Sr. Nirosha Talluri and Sr. Vilma Noronha made their final commitment and dedicated their lives completely to God on 24th May 2021, in Bangalore, India. According to the Covid 19 guidelines of social distancing, the celebration was held in Vidya Deepti Pallotti Study hall. The theme for the celebration was “Abide in me and bear much fruit”.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Rt. Rev. Peter Machado, the Archbishop of Bangalore. In his homily he congratulated the Sisters and encouraged them to put Jesus in the center of their life. He also emphasized that the hearts and minds must not be on the positions and power of this world, but rather to abide in Jesus Christ and bear much fruit.
With a heart full of gratitude to God, Sr. Helen Lourdusamy, Provincial Superior received the Final Vows of these six Sisters, in the presence of Pallottine Fathers and Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate, lay UAC members, other Religious Sisters, parents and relatives of some of our sisters.
With joy the Newly Professed Sisters thanked the Lord and the Congregation for accompanying them until today. The Mother of Divine Love Province is grateful to God for the gift of these six sisters for their service in the Church and Congregation. May God bless them abundantly so that they may abide in the love of Christ and bear much fruit. Thus, they may get strengthened in their vocation and continue their journey of life with the Pallottine Missionary Sisters.
