The Indian members of different Congregations who are working in the General Administration (INDOGAT) met together for their Annual Body Meeting on 17 July, at Claretianum University premises. The non official association is known as INDOGAT which initiated in the year of 2016 and at the moment it has 92 registered members.
The meeting began with a prayer in memory of Fr. Stany Swamy, SJ, 84 years of age who was imprisoned for 100 days and died in custody in Mumbai on 5th July 2021. He was a renowned human rights and social justice advocate for the Indigenous tribal population of North India. Later there was a panel discussion on the preparation of General and Provincial Chapters in this time of Pandemic.
Sr. Josephina D’ Souza, SAC, Vice General and also an Executive member of INDOGAT was one of the panelists. At the end all enjoyed a well prepared variety of Indian cuisine.
