After our wonderful international evening yesterday, we continue to celebrate today because it is the birthday of our Superior General Sr. Izabela Swierad. The Holy Mass reflected that Sisters from all countries are gathered here in Rome. The songs and readings in different languages expressed our diversity in unity. In his homily Fr Martin Manus already looked ahead and reminded us as an international Congregation that St Vincent Pallotti associated the celebration of the Octave of the Epiphany with the idea that the praise of God should embrace the whole world.
During Advent, we approach the mystery of the Incarnation and, like the Magi, set out on the way to Christ. Afterwards, all present congratulated our Sr Izabela with songs in different languages. We wish her a rain full of blessings and are grateful for her dedication and love for our Congregation. The Sisters in the Procura had prepared a delicious meal and we enjoyed the fellowship.
We also celebrate Our Lady of Kibeho today and prayed with our sisters from Rwanda for their country and for peace throughout the world.
To all the readers of the website, we sincerely wish you a happy and blessed Advent season. May the longing for the coming of our Saviour fill all hearts.
