The Pallottine Family in Rome begun the Triduum in preparation for the celebration of the feast of St. Vincent Pallotti. The reflection of each day was inspired from the theme “Synodality In the Life and Mission of the Church”.
Three days themes were divided as Believing Together, Hoping Together and Loving with one Heart. Every day the Union members; Pallottine Priests and Brothers, Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate, Pallottine, Missionary Sisters and Lay people gathered in SS. Salvatore in Onda for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament , Vespers and Holy Mass. This year the participation was limited due to the ongoing challenges of Covid 19 pandemic. The main celebrants of the Holy Mass were Fr. Ivan Grigis. Pastor of San Lorenzo in Damaso, Fr. Armando Nugnes. Rector of the Pontifical Urban College de Propaganda Fide and Fr. Jacob Nampudakam SAC, Rector General. As every year, a seminarian from the Urbaniana college will write a letter addressed to St. Vincent Pallotti which will be read in the presence of everyone who gathered in the church.
On 22 January, the day of feast the solemn celebration will be presided over by Msgr. Daniele Libanori, SJ Auxiliary Bishop of Rome.
As we journey together to celebrate, let us recall the words of St. Vincent Pallotti “Everyone must first be moved by a principle of true love of God. Everyone must secondly be moved by a principle of true love of his neighbor, whom according to the precept of our Lord Jesus Christ we must love as much as Jesus Christ has loved us.” (OOCC II 5:6).
