A Festival of Love and Inclusion
The sisters of St. Vincent Krupa Convent celebrated Christmas with heartfelt devotion and a spirit of service, making the season memorable for all involved.
Reaching out to the poor and needy
In the days leading to Christmas, the sisters reached out to the poor and needy in their Parish and also the scavengers by providing sacks of rice and other essential provisions. The UAC members joined the sisters to carry out this good work. This act of charity reflected their mission to share the love of Christ with those in need.
Carol singing and live crib
As part of the parish Christmas program, the sisters sang carols in the local language, spreading the message of Jesus’ birth through soulful melodies. Adding to the festivity, the candidates performed a graceful dance alongside the carols, creating a live crib that brought the Nativity scene to life and touched the hearts of everyone present.
Inviting members of the transgender community
On Christmas Day, the convent took a remarkable step toward inclusion by inviting members of the transgender community to celebrate with them. The sisters hosted a joyful lunch, sang carols together to proclaim the birth of Jesus, and presented their guests with gifts. This gesture of acceptance and love emphasized the universal message of Christmas: that Jesus came for all, regardless of social boundaries.
The celebration at St. Vincent Krupa Convent was a true embodiment of the Christmas spirit, marked by compassion, joy, and the unity of diverse communities. It served as a shining example of how faith can inspire acts of kindness and foster a sense of belonging for everyone.
