The General Administration of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters constituted a Commission for preparing the safeguarding policy for Children and Vulnerable Adults. The commission is consisting of members from Poland, Germany, Tanzania, USA, and India to embrace the realities of the different continents of the world. The first meeting of this commission was held online (via zoom) from 26 to 29 September 2022.
Mrs. Tina Campbell, an expert on this topic, was invited to be the resource person. Through her presentation, she enlightened the members how to outline the structure and what needs to be considered while creating the document of the policy. The days were dedicated to work intensely and make concrete suggestions, taking into consideration the Institutions of our Congregation and the diverse areas of apostolates the sisters are involved in. On the last day, as a conclusion, Sr. Alda Isa Paes, Chairperson of the commission, reported the outcome of the meeting and Sr. Josephina D’ Souza, Superior General thanked all the members for their commitment and willingness in their on-going efforts to develop a structural framework of the safeguarding policy for Children and Vulnerable Adults.
