„I make these vows (…) forever” – these words were said by two Sisters from the Polish Province of Pallottine Missionary Sisters – Sr. Agata Hulak and Sr. Małgorzata Lech. After two years of Postulancy, two years of Noviciate and six years of Juniorate, the time has come for these Sisters for making the perpetual vows in the Congregation. Religious retreats in the community given by Fr. Leszek Woroniecki, SAC, were directed preparation for that event.
That beautiful day happened on 29th June – on the Solemnity of St. Peter and Paul – Princes of the Apostles. The family and friends of the Sisters gathered in the church of Christ the King in Gdansk. Many Pallottine Sisters and lay members of the UAC from the various places of Poland also came. And many parishioners were seen too.
During the sermon Fr. Woroniecki reminded us that the religious consecration is the continuation of the baptismal consecration. One more main fact of information was that if one is consecrated it means, that God reserves this person only for Himself.
At the end of the Holy Mass the Sisters gave their thanks: firstly to God for the gift of their lives and vocations, secondly to all the People that were with the Sisters during the way to their final YES given to God. After the Solemn Eucharist family and close friends went to the convent for the dinner. The joyful celebration continued happening up till the evening.
