After six years of life experience with the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, Sr. Clémentine Murekatete made her final commitment on 15th September 2021, on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, at Masaka, in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish of the Archdiocese of Kigali.
The Holy Mass was presided over by Rt. Rv. Edward Sinayobye, the Bishop of Cyangugu Diocese. In his homily he emphasized the call of God: that when He calls His people, it is to be His witnesses and He takes care of them. He explained to the faithful, especially to the professed that the consecrated people are special, because they are called from the human beings, to leave their family and property and follow entirely the steps of Christ chaste, obedient and poor. Whereby, they are invited to live like Christ. He said that the religious should not regret their self-denial to God and surrender themselves with their whole lives to Him.
On this day, we were amazed by the presence of different people who participated in this event: The good number of Priests, especially the Pallottine Fathers from different Communities, the Diocesan Priests, the Religious from different Congregations including our Sisters and also many faithful from that area were present.
Because of the Covid 19 Pandemic, only a limited number of people were invited for lunch and entertainment in our community’s garden after the Holy Eucharist celebration. With appreciation, we were moved by the humbleness and the presence of Bishop Edward Sinayobye, who even came from far he stayed with us from the beginning until the end of the ceremonies. We continue to congratulate our newly final professed Sister keeping her in our prayers, so that she may stay faithful to her promise and remain always strong and happy in her choice as she dedicates her life completely to God and to the Church through our Congregation. May the example of our Founder St. Vincent Pallotti and Mary, Queen of the Apostles enlighten her daily life.
