In the forty-seventh year of the Pallottine Sisters’ presence in the Great Lakes Region, the final professed Sisters of Our Lady of Kibeho Province, together with Sr. Josephina D’Souza, Superior General and Sr. Marie Claire Mukeshimana, General Councillor, gathered in Kibeho from 10-17 February 2024 to celebrate the first Provincial Chapter with the theme “Let us walk together in unity and communion in the service of the mission”.
Sr. Angeline Kambugu, Regional Superior welcomed the participants and Sr. Josephina D’Souza, Superior General, officially opened the Provincial Chapter with spiritual thoughts and lighting of the candle.
The following day was dedicated for the recollection and prayer. Fr. François Harelimana preached on the theme and reminded us that Chapter is historic and ecclesial event of coming together and listening each other in the light of the Holy Spirit.
The days that follow will be devoted to sharing the affairs of the province with different reports. All the participants will be engaged in listening, discussing, and discerning together for the future of the province. During this time the delegates will be also electing new Provincial team who will be leading the province according to the Charism of our Congregation. All this work will be accomplished through the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We are counting on your prayers for the success of the Chapter.
