“Observe how the lilies of the field grow…
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”. Mt 6

In these days we experience the splendour of the flowers in the meadows and in the gardens.
Fruits and vegetables promise a good harvest. The weather might be appropriate, not too dry and not too wet. And we have done everything we possibly could do: Sown at the right time and plants are cared for. So it would have to succeed with the harvest.
“FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO!” The Gospel beckons us to look even deeper. Nature is delivered to every weather! Depending on the climate, the first buds in winter are exposed to frost and ice.
Ernst Ginsberg said: “Anyone who sees and feels frost and ice, believing that it was summer before: that’s real a fool. And he is a much bigger fool, when he dreams, that it could come the summer again. And exactly this is the safest truth on earth.”
“Learn from the flowers as they grow: they don’t work and they don’t spin. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, will he not much more you? You of little faith! Your father in heaven knows what you need”. Mt 6
We’re invited to look anew and deeper at the miracle of creation.
God’s creation carries in every season the message that God knows about me and about us. He knows the plight of the church and the whole world, including the concerns of our world-wide congregation. God’s concern for us includes the fact that we also use everything possible for the life of the world.
