In the first week of June, the Sisters of our Switzerland Delegature, as part of our General Visitation, hosted Sr. Izabela Swierad SAC, Superior General and Sr. Anna Maldrzykowska SAC, Councilor and General Treasure. A cordial, sisterly atmosphere, cheerfulness and good humor followed a midst the beautiful Swiss landscape. The sisters have once again, strengthened us with their testimony of faith and trust in the Lord, living everyday life in peace, mutual love and joyful gratitude.
Seven Sisters living in two communities still continue their apostolic commitment and experience the gift of God’s goodness in daily life. Anticipating love, attention and respect toward each other, mutual service of the sisters, communal prayer and concern remain a testimony of devotion and loyalty to the end.
The communities conduct regular meetings with secular members of the Union, serve as stewards of the Blessed Sacrament, lean prayer meetings with the Word of God and serve in spiritual direction. The sisters are also actively participating in the life of the parish, among others, by participating in the weekly prayers in the spirit of Taize and in diocesan structures, in pastoral work.
The oldest sister of the Delegature, Sr. Adelhilde, celebrated her 92nd. Birthday.
Once again, we congratulate this venerable Jubiliarian great memory and clarity of mind, and wish her the abundance of God’s gifts, so that Sister’s sense of humor and desire for heaven would not leave her. To all our Sisters – in prayer of gratitude – let us pray for the gift of God’s blessing.
