On 25 March 2021, the Solemnity of Annunciation, in our Lady of Kibeho Region, Sister Marie Delphine Murekatete joyfully pronounced her final profession in our Congregation.
She was surrounded by more than 25 of her fellow Sisters to witness their love and give her support. This happy event took place in the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul of Masaka, Kigali. The solemn Mass was celebrated by Fr. Jean Pierre Nsabimana SAC, the Vice Provincial Superior of Holy Family Province along with 16 priests con-celebrating.
In his homily, Fr. Jean Pierre reminded the participants that God calls us to fulfil the mission of Christ whose will is to do the will of the Father. Like the Blessed Virgin Mary, we say Yes to participate in the redeeming mission of our Lord Jesus Christ. He also underlined the meaning of our consecration which is to witness and imitate Jesus Christ, Chaste, Poor and Obedient.
Most of the participants were the Pallottine Sisters because of the restrictions of Covid-19 pendemic many guests couldn’t be invited. Thanks be to God that her parents were able to participate in this Feast. After Mass all the guests were invited to the convent at Masaka to share the meal and joy with community members. Sr. Delphine thanked the Congregation and many people who played a big role in her life and in her vocation. She asked for prayers as she feels that her vocation journey has just started.
We give thanks to God for the gift of vocations that He continues to send to our Congregation. Let us all together earnestly pray that one day the coronavirus will end and people will be able to celebrate with smiling faces without masks. We believe that by God’s grace everything is possible.
