On Tuesday evening our small community in the Generalate has the joy of hosting some special guests: Archbishop Victor Henry Thakur of Raipur in Chhattisgarh state, India; Rector General Jacob Napumpudakam SAC; and Sister Laura of the Cenacle sisters of the Sacred Heart from India who had recently taken the annual Pallottine Spirituality Course here in Rome. Among us was also Sr. Catherina Tush SAC from Belize, Central America, who after a month here has adjusted very well to the Italian culture and language. Sister will remain with for a year 2014/2015 for the Spirituality Course.
This diversity of guests made the evening unique and beautiful, embraced in a fraternal atmosphere. The Archbishop shared his experiences with different Pallottine communities in Raipur, as well as with those here in Rome when he was here for studies, and other places in the world he visited. He also spoke of his interesting encounter with now-Saint Pope John Paul II. A meal of Indian cuisine of rice and spices was served and enjoyed by all.
