On Saturday, February 20, 2021 4:00pm CET (Central European Time), the General Government had a Zoom meeting with the Provincial Leadership Team of the Queen of Apostles Province in the USA. Sister Mary Grace Barile, the Provincial Superior, gave a report on the current situation of the Province, presenting each community and its apostolates.
The sisters take on many tasks, continuing their longstanding ministry in the educational, hospital and, pastoral fields. Especially now during the pandemic, they also respond to the needs and challenges of the parishes and the needs of individuals, offering material help and spiritual support to the sick and the poor, and bringing Holy Communion to the faithful upon request.
A great joy for the Province is the good collaboration with the lay people who work to preserve the Pallottine charism and mission of the Congregation in the institutions formerly run by the Sisters: the hospitals, as well as Pallotti High School and the Pallottine Retreat Center which are still sponsored by the Province. For several years, to the joy of the Province, there has been an international community in Laurel made up of Sisters from the United States, Poland and India. The Sisters also support the other communities in our Congregation.
The commitment of the Sisters in such very different areas is truly impressive! The Province, although facing many challenges, is characterized by hope and courageously look to the future.
