On June 29, on the Solemnity of the Apostles St. Peter and St. Paul, in the chapel of the Novitiate House in Gniezno, Sr. Monika Graw made First Profession. Holy Mass was chaired by Bishop Bogdan Wojtuś.
The liturgy began at 12.00, at a time when the whole Church gathers at the Angelus’s prayer and recall in prayer Mary’s Fiat: Let it be done to me according to Your Word. At the same hour, the participants of the first Profession ceremony heard also Fiat of Sr. Monika.
During the homily the Bishop reminded three biblical pictures illustrating the consecrated life: a well – as a place of meeting a man with God; fire – as a sign of trials and experiences, and maternal womb – indicating the fruitfulness of religious life.
First Profession of Sr. Monika, which took place on the day of Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, is a fulfillment of the desires of Saint Vincent Pallotti and an invitation to all become Apostles following the example of Christ – the Apostle of the Eternal Father.
