On the day of Solemnity of “Corpus Christi”, the treasurers and mission procurators of our Provinces/Delegatures gathered in Rome for their meeting at our Generalate from 02 to 09 June 2024. This reunion is organized by the General Government in the line of formation in all aspects of our Consecrated life based on the spirituality of our founder St. Vincent Pallotti and on the Church teaching. There are ten participants in this gathering who came from different countries namely; Germany, Poland, India, Tanzania, Cameroon and Rwanda. Sr Adelheid Scheloske, General Treasurer and Sr. Malgozata Wyrodek General Mission Procurator are the animators of these groups.
The program opened with a prayer which led the participants to praise and glorify the Lord for the marvelous blessings He has bestowed on us. After prayerful atmosphere, Sr. Josephina D’Souza, Superior General welcomed the participants and addressed them by expressing the need of having such an International gathering to empower the Treasurers and Mission Procurators of our Congregation. Further she underlined the important elements of stewardship, fidelity and the responsibility entrusted to each one of us with great hope and expectation. She invited us to work together in the spirit of synodality to be living witnesses to the grace of God in our service to the sisters and to the humanity.
Keeping in mind the essence of ‘Unity in diversity’ we will be engaged in listening, sharing, participating and discerning on different themes relating to finance and Mission. While we deliberate on different concerns, we also review how we articulate our work to connect local challenges and efforts with global dynamics that affect us. The immense diversity of situations in which our work unfolds in Provinces /delegatures, and apostolic services is also reflected in the way we organize our mission at all levels. Nevertheless, we recognize that we are members of a single apostolic body, called together to collaborate effectively for the integral development of congregation and all humanity, in the name of faith in Jesus Christ and our ecclesial belonging.
Our appreciation to all the members of the General Administration and Procura community for their cordial welcome and hospitality. May all of us strive to become credible Gospel witnesses and agents of change in our contemporary world.
